Small Business Website UpdateYour current website might have many features you like but is it looking dated or not bringing in business? We can work with what you have and update or refresh your existing website. Adding search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) may help attract more customers by improving your position in Google, Yahoo, and MSN. We also do complete website makeovers and start-from-scratch custom website design. Here is an example of an updated website with subtle changes to the appearance and additional SEO and SEM.
Ann and Arlene's Ark is an example of a website update plus search engine optimization. The owner loved the original site design with its pink and purple colors and black background, so we kept that concept. We made the site wider, added more association graphics in the left sidebar, made the text easier to read by removing the "paws" backround, added more photos on the right with the "paws" background, added Testimonials and Resources pages, moved all content to the right so it's not pushed up against the left side of the browser, added a "slogan" near the bottom of the page and added a navigation bar at the bottom of the page instead of "back" and "next." The on-site search engine optimization (SEO) included rewriting all pages to add more content and sprinkle good keywords throughout, an improved description with more keywords, and custom titles and descriptions for each page. Off-site search engine marketing (SEM) included analyzing the competition's inbound links and placing this site in those same directories plus some free classified advertising. This site wasn't showing up in Google search results for the most common search terms. After we completed the improvements and had the site re-indexed by Google, this Prescott pet sitter site appeared in 10th place on page one within three weeks, then 7th place, then 6th. (Click on the graphic to see Before and After screenshots.) "I have been getting so many calls from people finding us through the search engines. I was skeptical when we first talked and thought our type of customer didn't use the Internet, but now I believe they used the Internet and just couldn't find us before. I'm getting compliments on the way the website looks, too. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you." —Arlene Treiber, Prescott AZ pet sitter, Ann & Arlene's Ark
